about
Season's Greetings from us in Lowbrow. We continued our tradition of recording a Christmas Cover by upping the ante for ourselves. We remixed our last two, and recorded three fresh ones. Hope you enjoy some refreshing Christmas music this holiday season (even if it is only 10 minutes worth)
I've put a little write up on each song detailing the recording process. Here's a little history on how this got started 3 years ago, and how ridiculous it's going to get from here on out.
If you didn't know, I (Anthony) write all our songs with a program called Tabit (represent). It's a guitar tablature program with MIDI playback. This lets me program guitars, bass, drums, etc, so I can learn the song as I write, and have something to play back with so I can write more parts.
This program has (had) a small online community of some of the most talented song writers I had ever seen. Four years ago, someone decided to make a folder for a Christmas Cover Competition. I was still kind of a nobody around there, so when I threw in a punk cover of Little Drummer Boy (far from my best work), people were caught very off guard. It received a mixed reception, as it should have.
Fast forward to the following Christmas. I had been posting songs all year long, so when I threw Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer into the mix, people weren't surprised by the punk rock part of it, and loved the cover. I didn't write one in 2010 because Daniel and I decided to record Grandma, and that decision leads us here today.
As I've said a million times (and will say a million more). Thank you to everyone that supports us.
